Over 25 different vendors have a wide variety of local fruits and vegetables, specialty farm products, baked items, and artisan crafts available. In addition, live music and demonstrations are also hosted throughout the year and a seating area is provided. The market accepts Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) cards for qualifying goods to expand healthy options for low income individuals and families.
The Cape Marketeers Club that started in 2013 has expanded this year! The club is a program for kids ages 5-12 that provides activities to help them focus on nutrition, science and growing. Fun, educational experiments and games are hosted the second and fourth Saturday of each month from May to August. This is a free program where kids can earn $2 tokens to purchase fruit or vegetables at the market.
