|Parade of Lights
Sunday evening, November 30, at dusk (approximately 5pm) make plans to
bring your family and friends downtown to enjoy the 23rd Annual Christmas
Parade of Lights. This unofficial kick-off to the Christmas season will be filled
with Christmas cheer as up to 100 decorated floats make their way from
Capaha Park down Broadway to Main St. This year's theme, Christmas
Carols & Candy Canes, is sure to bring some excitement and creativity to
If your business or organization is interested in participating, download the
2014 Parade of Lights Entry Form containing the entry rules and
requirements, as well as a registration form. Space is limited to the first 100
entries, so submit your request today!
|Downtown Christmas Open House
Friday evening, December 5, Downtown Cape Girardeau will come alive with
Christmas spirit. Carolers and sleigh rides, sweet treats, holiday specials and
a host of festive cheer will help ring in the Christmas season. Bring your family
and friends down to experience the excitement of the annual Downtown
Christmas Open House.
Here's how it works: Entry packets, available for pick up at Hutson's Fine
Furniture, contain color-coded entry coupons for each participating merchant.
These businesses will stay open from 5 - 9pm and have a box for you to drop
their corresponding ticket into. One lucky winner will win the grand prize
shopping spree valued at $1,000 or more.*
