First Friday with the Arts is a community-centered event that takes place on the First Friday of every month. Established by local gallery owners in 2003, First Friday with the Arts encourages residents of the Southeast Missouri region to engage in the arts. Currently, each of the galleries located in and around Downtown Cape Girardeau as well as many downtown businesses participate in the monthly event by staying open from 5-9pm the first Friday of each month, hosting artist receptions and demonstrations, offering musical entertainment, providing appetizers, and more.

All First Friday activities will be from 5-9pm unless otherwise noted.
